Polyester fiber has many good properties that in some of the Ulvang garments are used in combination with wool. Polyester has good strength and elasticity, and absorbs little water. Polyester fibers are synthetic fibers, made from oil. The thermoplastic properties of the fibers are utilized by heat fixation to produce garments that do not curl and retain their shape during washing and use.
